The NYDOT Silt Fence is a 36-inch by 100-foot erosion control barrier designed to trap sediment and prevent soil migration on construction sites, highway projects, and land development areas. This geotextile fence meets New York Department of Transportation specifications for temporary sediment control during earth-disturbing activities.
Built with a wire-backed design, this silt fence features a 4-inch by 4-inch 14-gauge wire mesh that provides structural support and prevents sagging under sediment load. The high-quality geotextile fabric is hog ringed to the wire mesh every 12 to 18 inches along the top edge, ensuring secure attachment and consistent performance.
