These bits are made of premium high-speed steel and treated with a black & gold oxide finish to fight corrosion and keep them sharp longer. The 135° split-point tip bites fast and resists walking, so you can start your hole right where you want it without wandering across the surface.
Above 11/64", the bits have flatted shanks so they won’t slip in your drill chuck. And bits larger than 3/8" are reduced shank so you can still run them through a 3/8" chuck—no need to swap up your drill. The kit comes in a metal index case with rubber overmolding to absorb shocks if you drop it. The bits sit in removable cartridges so you can grab just what you need on the job and leave the rest in the case. There's also a tap & drill selection chart built into the kit for quick reference.
