This 16-ounce Stihl Winterization / Storage Kit is the no-nonsense way to protect a pressure washer when you park it for the season. Pour the winterizer into the pump and it stops water from freezing, keeps seals and pistons soft, and fights the hard-water scale that wrecks pumps. Using it is simple and worth doing right. Turn the machine off, disconnect hoses and gun, attach the bottle to the water inlet (some RB models need the elbow adapter), open the bottle valve, then pull the starter cord several times until only the winterizer comes out — that flushes the pump and lines with the full solution so everything inside is protected. Follow those steps and you won’t be scraping ice or rebuilding seals later.
This is a purpose-formulated fluid in a 16 oz bottle (part number 7010-871-0278 on many dealer pages). It’s sized to treat the pump and short lines on most units, and it’s the same winterizer Stihl recommends in their winterizing guide. The winterizer keeps internal parts soft and free of scale so seals don’t dry out, pistons don’t seize, and small amounts of leftover water can’t freeze and crack the pump. That saves you downtime, parts, and a lot of swearing when spring rolls back in.
