These Stihl 6-layer apron-style protective chaps in 40-inch length give you tough leg coverage without slowing you down. Built with Avertic® Pro cut-retardant fibers, the chaps use six protective layers that jam a moving chain to reduce injury if the saw hits your leg. The outer fabric is 400-denier nylon, made to resist cuts, oil, and water so the chaps hold up in rough jobsite conditions.
The apron design keeps the back open for airflow, helping you stay cooler while still guarding your thighs, front, and shins. The waist adjusts from about 30 to 42 inches, with plenty of buckle length for quick on-and-off over your work pants. At 40 inches long, these chaps cover most average to taller builds, with an inseam fit of roughly 32 to 36 inches. For shorter or taller workers, Stihl offers other lengths, but the 40-inch is the go-to size for many crews. A small pocket on the leg lets you stash a tool or radio, and reflective trim helps keep you visible when cutting roadside or in low-light conditions. These chaps are UL classified for chainsaw protection, so they meet recognized safety standards and deliver dependable protection every time you fire up the saw.
