The FrenchCreek Rope Grab & 3' Lanyard is a fall arrest device that travels with the worker along a vertical synthetic lifeline, providing continuous fall protection during ascent and descent. This system combines an automatic rope grab mechanism with an integrated 3-foot polyester web lanyard and locking snap hook for OSHA-compliant personal fall arrest.
Designed for vertical access applications, this rope grab automatically follows the worker up and down 5/8-inch to 3/4-inch diameter synthetic lifelines. The device can be attached, detached, and repositioned at any point along the vertical lifeline without tools, allowing workers to adjust their connection point as they move. The controlled, shock-absorbing action reduces fall arrest forces, while the integrated 1-inch polyester web lanyard with locking snap hook provides a secure connection to the worker's harness D-ring.
Key Features
Automatic Rope Grab — Travels smoothly with the worker during normal movement and locks instantly in a fall event
Integrated 3' Lanyard — OSHA-compliant 1-inch polyester web construction with locking snap hook eliminates the need for separate components
Shock-Absorbing Action — Controlled deceleration reduces fall arrest forces on the worker
Universal Lifeline Compatibility — Works with 5/8-inch to 3/4-inch diameter synthetic vertical lifelines
Tool-Free Positioning — Attach, detach, and reposition at any point on the lifeline without additional equipment
Applications
Used by utility workers, tower climbers, construction crews, and maintenance personnel performing vertical access work on communication towers, utility poles, fixed ladders, scaffolding, and other elevated structures requiring continuous fall protection during climb.
